Album Release:
I recently worked with Wendy Rule in the creation for the album artwork for “Beneath the Below is a River”. It’s for the soundtrack to the short film ‘Hugo’, directed by Nicholas Verso. An otherworldy fantasy about a Moth Boy.
The result is a beautiful trance-like journey into the Faerie realm. Wendy’s vocals become an instrument in themselves.
Awards:
I recently won Best in Category: Painting and Drawing for a competition and exhibition at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts (MCBA).
Reflections, co-sponsored by MCBA and the Minnesota Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (MNSCBWI), is a juried exhibition of illustrations inspired by the work of five award-winning poets. Also included in the exhibition are process materials from the University of Minnesota’s Kerlan Collection — one of the world’s great children’s literature research collections.
